Peace & Harmony Through One People, One Nation, One Flag
“To survive in peace & harmony and to have unity & strength, we must have one people, one nation , one flag.”
I am disturbed by the turmoil our country is currently through. Even a school going child can understand the dynamics of our transition. We are divided by thoughts, ethnicity, colours of skin, carried away by the nonsense words and acts of leaders who basically do not have leadership in their trait. We feel good when we read that our country is independent and sovereign but we never attempt to understand what these two big words really mean to our nation and the history that precedes this statement.
We are what we are because our beloved ancestors have shed their blood, whether they were Madhesi, Pahadi or Himali. They had a common name – Nepali. We know that our current actions are very wrong but still flock to inept leaders because we were conditioned to do so. There are numerous regional demands which should be addressed in a logical way by the inept leaders we created. Now there is Nepal-India issue and there are divisions amongst us on this issue but we do not know the complete truth or have a deep understanding of it.
There is so much of ideological war on our Facebook walls and it may help to some extent in easing the pain of our ego mind. We have a nature of not withstanding any suppressive act by another nation and we should always hold this and thus we are independent. We also have a society that suppresses people in the name of caste inhumanely. And we are living with so many other social issues which are very hard to digest for the civilized ones. Nation is where we live, not what we talk about.
We exist when we have a unified nation not only in terms of territory but also with good thought. A fraction of our people are imposing blockade at our territory which is the most irrational thing to do and difficult for me to accept. They are torturing the people of their own nation and this is that what we call leadership? I call that bullsh*t.
People of our nation should not be swayed with the behaviour of these so-called leaders. This is very inhumane because the fundamental right of people is breached. You want to break the head of top leaders of Nepal for good purpose then whole nation is with you. For this act, people like Rajendra Mahato should be exiled.
We are in transition and let the Almighty give us the power to decide what is wrong. Anything can happen at this time. If we think of evil, evil ones will prevail and if we think of one nation irrespective of Himali, Pahadi or Madhesi, with one flag then it is a more likely outcome. Let us not hope, dream a common garden and let us make it.
